After a long hiatus, we're back! ATF2L and PantheonES have been awesome enough to provide me a server for SOAP after my original provider disappeared off the face of the planet.

All custom maps on FastDL

Class limits:

3 scout
3 solly
2 demo

Allowed unlocks:

Generic comp whitelist + Sticky Jumper
All Weapon skins of the any permitted weapons & unlocks (including the Original).

 
Current admins are me (montymintypie) and Turtle, if you need urgent help add one of us and we'll try and help as soon as we can.

Otherwise shoot an email to (montymintypie at gmail) if there's something you want added/changed on the server.

We also have a Steam Group, website, GameME stats page and Mumble if you so desire.

We had a semi official vote for it back in the ozfortress thread, and the concensus was that SOAP isn't the best for sniper, and only marginally better than pub sniping.

"Updated a couple HUD panels to support team scores with more than two digits"

 

Taken advantage of this and made team scores now update to frags that a team gets and changed the win panel to be the arena one (shows damage, kills, classes and longest life)

Is there really a need to limit demos to 2 stickies at a time? Honestly don't think you need to limit classes in an environment where you're just practicing.

We've had a few people mention that they want sniper, but currently we're keeping it with only scouts, soldiers and demos. This decision may be changed in the future.

 

There have been people trying to use sticky traps to camp spawn positions or just spamming stickies all over the map. The limit on the sticky launcher will be kept at two. In most situations the demo does not need more than 2 stickies out at any one time, so it shouldn't really affect your play.

Yeah, you can still stickytrap people with 2 stickies though, and even then, how are you ever alive long enough without someone killing you to put sticky traps down? +watching them

Still working out possible kinks in re-enabling sniper.

 

Added turbine. We shall see how that goes.

Reserved slots fixed. There should now be no way to get kicked on map change.
